Our frame is made of 13/16" or thicker laminated hardwood.
Many others use 1/8" or less.

Joints were thoughtfully moved from load-bearing areas so they don't weaken over time.

Our coil seating is stronger than 8-way hand tied. Our sinuous wire is heavier gauge steel.

3 horizontal compartments help reduce cushion sag. No one wants a saggy cushion.

Our custom upholstery cushions are "flip-able" so you can use both sides.

The frame is cut so it fits snugly together. Unibody back adds strength.

Not all foam is created equal. Ours is engineered to better hold its shape over time.

Keeps fibers from working their way through the cover.

Frames – Limited Lifetime
Bassett warrants that frames will be free from defects in workmanship and material for the lifetime of the product. Decorative exposed wooden trim, including wooden legs, is not covered by this warranty.
Seat Cushion Core – Limited Lifetime
Lifetime limited coverage warrants seat cushion cores against defects in workmanship, materials and construction. Failure to follow standard care procedures voids this warranty. Cushion softening due to normal fiber compression is not covered by this warranty. Deep cushions will compress up to 1” within the first year of use. This is a characteristic and not a quality defect.
Motion Mechanisms – Limited Lifetime
Our motion mechanisms are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for limited lifetime and include mechanisms for swivel chairs, swivel rockers, desk chairs, including units, and recliners, except for the Leggett & Platt “Power Series” mechanisms and motors. Applicable to motorized recliner products, which “Power Series” mechanisms and motors have a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
Springs – 5 Years
Spring systems are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and material for five years. Removal of springs from their original upholstered frame voids this warranty, unless done with prior consent from Bassett.
Sleeper Mattresses – 5 Years
Our sleeper sofa mattresses are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for five years. Should such a defect appear during the first year of this warranty, the mattress will be repaired or replaced, at Bassett’s discretion and cost. Should such a defect appear during the second through the fifth years of this limited warranty, the mattress will be repaired or replaced, at Bassett’s discretion and cost, minus an amount for the purchaser’s use of the mattress. The amount deducted for the purchaser’s use will be equal to 1/60 of the retail price for each month or partial month since the purchase date of the mattress. Creasing will occur due to folding and is not covered by this warranty.
Air Dream Sleeper System - 3 Years
When an “Air-Dream Sleeper System” air mattress is used, there is a three-year warranty for the mattress, air bladder and air bladder valve. The prorated amount to be deducted for purchaser’s use will begin upon purchase date at the rate of 1/36 of the retail purchase price for each month or partial month since the purchase of the mattress. The limited warranty shall extend for one year from the date of purchase and will be non-prorated for the motor used in the “Air Dream system”.
Sleeper Mechanisms – 3 Years
All mechanical parts in Bassett’s sleeper sofa products have a three-year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship.
Fabrics – 1 Year
Bassett fabrics are warranted against manufacturing defects, seam slippage, fraying, and dye transfer for one year. Damage resulting from improper use, improper care, abuse or negligence or use of improper cleaning methods is not covered by the warranty. ANY RETAILER OR CONSUMER-APPLIED STAIN PROTECTION TREAT-MENT VOIDS THIS WARRANTY. Shrinking, pilling, fading and/or heavy soiling are considered evidence of mistreatment and void the limited warranty.
Leather – 1 Year
Upholstered leathers are warranted against manufacturing defects, seam slippage, and splitting for one year. Variations in color, grain, texture, patterns of original hair follicles, healed scars, brands and neck growth marks are inherent in leather and are not quality defects. Improper use, improper care, accidents, fading or change in color due to exposure to sunlight after purchase by the consumer, body oils or perspiration are not warranted.

DON’T PLACE YOUR FURNITURE TOO CLOSE TO WINDOWS, HEATERS OR VENTS
If your furniture is located near a window, it’s best to use window treatments to avoid fading. Heating and air outlets will also fade fabrics and leather, as well as damage the fibers over an extended period of time.
ROTATE AND FLUFF SEAT AND BACK CUSHIONS REGULARLY
This will prevent the cushion core from wearing prematurely, will preserve the fabric color and control welt slippage.
FABRIC: NEVER TAKE THE CUSHION COVER OFF TO CLEAN
To clean a spill, immediately blot (without rubbing) with a dry, absorbent white cloth. Only use a professional furniture cleaning service when an overall cleaning is needed.
LEATHER: CLEAN WITH A SOFT, DAMP CLOTH
After wiping clean, gently rub with a soft dry cloth to restore the finish. Never use polishes, oils, ammonia, cleaning fluids, solvents or detergents to clean leather upholstery. Professional cleaning is recommended.
