Kerry Alter was my salesperson. She was excellent. So very helpful and listened and my finished product excellent what I wanted. She called every week and kept me informed of my production update. Could not of had a nicer person and so glad she was my designer. Would use her again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend her to anyone shopping for beautifully crafted furniture custom furniture. She is an asset to Bassett Furinture. Marilynn King

We were really dissatisfied with the product that was delivered. The knobs broke off upon assembly, and 2 the following day. The would was not cut evenly on the drawers, and you could visibly see the asymmetry. Three of the drawers did not close. However, the repair services were great. The repairman accommodated by schedule and took care of the drawers and ordered extra knobs for us to be sure we were covered when additional knobs broke. We were really excited about this purchase in our new home and are still contemplating purchase of the night tables given the initial concerns, but I was beyond pleased with the follow up services we received from the service center and repairman.

Furniture is not what we expected. I told my salesperson if this couch had been on the showroom floor I would not have purchased it. We are going to order blended-down cushions ($690) and hope that fixes the problem. I just had one big desire, a deep couch. This isn't it. 3 years of payment and it will be all mine. Love seat wasn't delivered with the rest of the furniture. We are nervous that is going to be problematic too. Will not recommend too friends.

Bassett Response:  
We have spoken to Mrs. Baker. The couple purchased a sofa and loveseat with standard cushions because they didn't want to pay for the upgrade to down. At that time, their salesperson informed them that their sofa would feel different than what they were trying out in the showroom but they chose not to pay for the down cushions. When they received the sofa (with a different chosen arm style and standard rather than down inserts) they expected it to feel the same way the one they had sat upon in our showroom had felt. Their choices in customization are the actual source of their disappointment. We wanted them to be happy so we ordered them down inserts if they were willing to pay for the upgraded replacement part. Additionally, Mrs. Baker is disappointed that her custom loveseat had a factory error (no nail heads installed originally) and is running late. She felt that since it was coming late she should be allowed to cancel that order and have a second sofa made instead of the loveseat. Unfortunately she requested this after we had already corrected the problem and installed the nails on her love seat - we told her the custom order was not changeable at that time. We are doing our best to make the Baker's happy with the choices they made when choosing their custom furniture.

Sales people on the floor were not friendly. No one spoke or said hello to us until we said we had come into the store to finish paying for our table. Not the experience I would hope from a furniture with the reputation as Bassett. Also, when I got my table home, it had some water damage. I called the store and the woman who answered didn’t seem to care that my brand new table was damaged when it came out of the box. Very transactional response. Between the two experiences, I seriously doubt I will purchase anything else from this store again.

We have reached out to Ms. Williams by phone multiple times. Her table was left in a box for 5 months in our warehouse from May - September. She was contacted multiple times in that time period to let her know it was available. After she picked up the table in September we called to ask if she was happy with it but only got a voicemail. When she informed us that she noticed a "water stain" we sent a technician to address her concerns. We have left multiple voicemails in an attempt to apologize for her perception of her experience and see what we could do for her to regain her loyalty. She does not answer or return our calls. The technicians notes would suggest that her table was taken care of to her satisfaction. We would love the opportunity to speak with her and learn from her experience in order to improve our efforts in the future but have been unable to reach her beyond voicemail.

The guys that delivered our furniture we so helpful and careful. They went above and beyond to make the delivery perfect. I didn't catch their names but would like to give credit where credit is due! However, I recommended Bassett to a friend who bought a headboard there! Both of us usually don't buy custom furniture at all but Bassett's furniture was too beautiful and the quality was too good to pass by

Alton was amazing at the store on the Southwest Freeway in Houston, TX. He was extremely helpful in the entire process of choosing furniture, fabrics, pillows, etc. He made the experience fun and stress free. The delivery men were very helpful as well and put the furniture exactly where I wanted it and held each piece up for me to put felt pads in the bottom.

We selected the Provence Kg Bed, we elected to pickup from wharehouse. Husband only checked headboard and employees didn't unwrap and QC check the remaining pieces before it was loaded onto our vehicle. Once husband arrived home, we unpacked rails, slats and footer board and they were damaged / broken. Found issue with headboard. Reported problem to store, 5 days later part of the bed was repaired. New parts ordered and arrived several days later. We had to piece this new expensive bed together between delivery parts and ours. Extremely disappointing.

We spoke with the customer who informed us she was thrilled with the level of customer service she received, the delivery teams, the store. She just was disappointed that the bed had problems in the first place. We offered to completely replace the bed but she declined and says it looks beautiful but it was just a long process to make that happen. She thanked us for our quick response and follow through.

Salesman great! Product-Love! Receptionist at store was awful!! Wouldn't get off her cell-looked like Facebook. Told the salesman that it was very much a turn off. He said that lots of people complain, but the manager, who greeted me, loves her!!! Not a great first impression. Thankfully, I loved what I was buying. Store is on SW Freeway in Houston, TX.

Provide a better explanation of the finish on the furniture. My understanding of "distressed" is very different from the finish on the furniture I received. Provide better customer service after the sale. I sent in pictures of the furniture I was concerned about as I was instructed to do. I received a voicemail message from Customer Service saying that the manager was gone for the day. That is the only communication I received. This is unsatisfactory and will definitely influence my decision to purchase anything from Bassett again.

Mr. Elledge have been contacted and scheduled for service. They thanked us for reaching out and assured us they are enjoying their furniture. we apologized for the slow reaction to their requests. A service ticket has been opened and the CCS team has been addressed in regards to handling this situation and how important timely follow-up is in dealing with such issues.

After 4 weeks of not hearing an update on our table, I called the staff to understand when we would get our delivery. The receptionist could only tell me that it was on its way to Texas, but she couldn't give me any details. Then she asked me to pay the remaining balance. I thought it was quite rude to ask for money when she wasn't helpful. I then called back to speak to Troy, the sales person. He was rude and dismissive. He didn't care that I was concerned that it had been 28 days. He said I shouldn't be calling until 30 days at least. He said he couldn't even guarantee that it would come in in 30 days, even though that was the company slogan. When he sold us the table, he said it would take less than 4 weeks. He told me to stop worrying and be patient. He treated me as if I was a waste of his time. My husband and I will not shop here again for the sole reason of how I was spoken to. The product is beautiful, but Troy ruined the experience for me and my husband.

We clarified the details regarding follow-up and good customer service as we define it at Bassett and assured her that we want a relationship more than a transaction. We let her know she is appreciated and we would love the opportunity to regain her trust by sending her a thank you coupon and that there are other DCs she can work with. She was very thankful and happy after the phone call. The customer praised the delivery team and assured me that she loves her new furniture.

I had a large order and everything came in except one rug. I appreciated the fact that you delivered the furniture (so I wouldn't have to wait) and then when the rug came in, you came back out to deliver it without charging me an extra delivery fee.

The date we were told for pick up was not met and I was not called to receive an update. I tried calling the store I bought my furniture from they would not answer the phones. I tried calling for 3 days. I then called another store in the Houston area and I was told they could not help me because the sale was mad at another store and they were not able to pull up my order in the system.
