I will be able to reply to this question after someone representing Bassett arrives next week to see why the sections of sofa don't meet together as they should. There is also a place on the seat of corner section that looks like something made a pressure dent in leather that is not going away. If this all can be corrected we will love the sofa because it's just what we wanted.

I felt like the pieces were too expensive for the quality of them. The chair and ottoman specifically. It was absolutely ridiculous that an ottoman cost $800. They are not made that well and the fabric was one of Bassett's most expensive ones but it definitely does not look like a high end fabric which is what the price suggests.

Bassett Response:  
The customer purchased the chair in April and returned in September to purchase the matching ottoman. She received the sale price of $619 for the ottoman in a grade 30 fabric.

I'm very pleased with the area rug that I purchased but the chair is a HUGE disappointment. The chair that I bought (Victoria) is uncomfortable and doesn't seem to have enough fill. The chair has ripples in it and is definitely not the quality I expected from Bassett. Based on this chair I won't buy from Bassett again and won't recommend Bassett to friends and colleagues.

We are having a problem with the upholstery developing knots on a cushion. The sofas were delivered three weeks ago. We do not have pets. We order performance fabric. Customer service is sending a technician to look at it. We bought two sofas from Bassett to avoid these types of headaches. I'm frustrated. Thank you.

Ordered a $5000+ dining table and 6 upholstered chairs. The finish was chosen to match existing furniture by matching the store sample with a piece we brought to the store. When the order arrived, the wood finish was not even close to what was ordered. We took a table leaf to the store and sales and customer service staff agreed that it was totally wrong. We have waited a week now for the factory to agree to the error and agree to remake the table and chairs in the right finish. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Salesman was extremely professional....not pushy at all but very accommodating:eager to show us pieces that he felt would peak our interest. It worked. Delivery service on the other hand...forgot tools to assemble furniture

It has been 3-4 weeks and our order still isn't fully taken care of. Our drawer broke the day the piece arrived- still not replaced/ fixed. Our handles were installed unlevel- still not fixed. And our bedside tables had the wrong handles because the salesmen told us we could get it with the handles that matched the dresser/ chest and that wasn't true. Now I'm very unhappy with the overall look of the pieces in the room. They've tried to help me find other matching handles, but none will look right. I can't believe that you would make a set of furniture where the handles don't match from piece to piece.

All issues have been corrected and the customer is satisfied. The customer assumed the handles were wrong, when they were actually correct for the piece. The store ordered and installed different hardware from another collection to satisfy the customer.

I called after placing the order and requested to have the items made in a different color. The items ordered are a standard style (Brewster) which I was told was one of your most popular lines, and it was ordered within one of your original colors offered (Fog). I requested the order to be switched to the other standard color (2 primary fabrics are offered and I wanted to change to Natural), and I was told that production had began and I was stuck with the items. Given its a standard style/pattern and a standard color, and the goods had not left the production facility, why couldn't that order have been switched to someone else and I received the color I wanted? I spoke with the sales rep, manager of the store, and the regional manager and none would do anything to assist. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I will not buy from your stores again given this scenario, I felt it was a total lack of customer service. There is nothing custom about the order at all.

Customer requested to change the cover weeks after the initial order was placed. The item was already thru production as the customer initially requested.

Vickie, your decorator in the Greensboro store is so knowledgeable and was the best experience ever. We love all she helped us with. Our home is now beautiful. We could not have done this without her. We love love our furniture.

Sales associate, Ashley, was great! Delivery great. Custom sectional sofa beautiful and good quality. TV console/stand very nice. Sofa bought on line is average and had indentions in fabric on one end of sofa where it had imprints from the interior wooden frame. Sofa must have rested on one end for awhile and the imprints on fabric aren't going away... I am going to ask if they could be steamed out or something.

Making of chair was finished , Earlier than promised which was a real bonus. Delivery was a breeze--the driver called the day before and told me when he expected to deliver. The morning of delivery, he called to tell me he was on his way and approximately how long it would take and was very prompt. Chair was beautiful!

Be more accurate and honest about the production and delivery times for ordering custom items. Reducing these times also. The delivery itself was fine by the carrier but the constant delays and confusion about where the items were and when they would be delivered was unacceptable. As was your delivery fee. Another company near you delivered a complete dining set for a third of what you charged.

Furniture quality was way below what I expected. If I could return it I would. I could have gone down the street to Rooms to Go and received far more comfortable sofa for same price or much less price. If I wanted this kind of poor comfort quality, I could have paid 1/3 the price anywhere. I realise we didn't buy the most expensive sofa Basett carries but I did pay $1700 for the sofa that was on sale and for 1699 + tax I should have been able to expect far better comfort quality.

Curt and Russell at the Greensboro store were so nice to work with. My daughter, a designer, had worked with them before I entered the picture to select items she thought I'd like. Deliver was on time; bringing the furniture inside was professionally handled by Tommy and Tom; placement was perfect under the direction of my daughter; the furniture itself is gorgeous and even more beautiful than I had thought it could be. I have not a single complaint, only accolades for all the ones who worked with/for me. Many thanks to all for a most pleasant experience. I'm sold on your personnel and products.

Very good Sales Associate( Candy Baker)& excellent follow up and communication during build period. One and only service call handled expediently by Steve Varga. So far very pleased with quality and comfort of product. Keep up the good job. Not many manufacturers left in the US so those of you who are left will be how the domestic industry is viewed. People who appreciate better made products are willing to pay the price for quality so long as the total value is there. Jim & Gloria Adams High Point, NC

Everything was great. Prices are a bit high but quality is good and I expect furniture to last a long time. Awesome sales staff who really understand design. Delivery people could not have been better - very efficient and personable. Design service is a huge benefit! Will be back - when I save some money!

We ordered a dining table and 6 chairs. Our sales person forgot to include the table base in the order and the mistake was not caught until the delivery was already scheduled and the delivery company realized the base was missing. By the time the base was ordered it was on back order. The delivered the table, chairs, and a temporary base, but we still don't have the base we ordered.
