Destiny writes about life, love and home from her retreat in Phoenix, Arizona, where she and her husband are busy raising three kids. Her goal is to inspire you to create beauty in your own life, by “listening to your passions and the spirit in you.”

“We have two large patio sections right by our pool that needed to have a more cohesive look, so I designed a little place I like to call a Resort Style Getaway!”

Bassett teamed up with Destiny to redo her outdoor space to make it as comfortable has her home is inside. So, we've created a living room, dining room and lounge all with the sky for a ceiling.

Destiny chose the Huntington Collection for her sectional, chair and a pair of poolside chaises. Huntington features durable performance resin wicker and is upholstered in a weather-friendly performance fabric. The Florence dining chairs are heavy gauge aluminum with a rugged matte black finish.

When I am considering decorating a NEW space in my home...

I think about how we will have REAL moments in these spaces. Good news, bad news and all the in between.

What is your decorating Style?

My aesthetic is casual elegance. I’m drawn to neutral colors but adore the color green and even blue!

Where do you go to find inspiration?

I go to the yard at least once a day. I love to feel nature and it wakes up all my senses!

Chestnut is a restaurant in Phoenix that I love to visit to get some work done!

My favorite to visit is the Biltmore and Scottsdale Fashion Square.

COFFEE SHOP

There is a local coffee shop called Enroute. For a quick drink, I love Dutch Bros Iced Kicker. It gets me going in the morning!
