Performance Fabrics

Performance Fabrics Bassett’s performance fabrics are designed to hold up better to daily use.
Performance fabrics are a good choice for homes with children and sofa-loving pets because they are easier to clean and more durable than natural fibers such as linen and cotton. We also offer Revolution and Sunbrella brands in our performance line of fabrics. Learn more about these great brands below.

Revolution performance fabrics are made with yarns made in southern Virginia, not far from Bassett’s hometown. The yarns are taken to North Carolina (not far from where we make upholstery) where they are woven into high performance fabrics. Revolution is made from Olefin yarn, which is virtually un-stainable, easy to clean, and extremely durable. It also is remarkably soft and fade resistant. It is made from byproducts of petroleum refining, so it transforms what was once waste into a beautiful and usable product. (The scientists who developed Olefin won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry because of this.) Olefin also does not require any chemical treatments to give it it’s unique qualities.

Available in Performance Basket Weave or Performance Dimensional Weave.

Sunbrella’s fabrics are known for their durability, fade resistance, and stain resistance. They also repel water and are easily cleaned, even with bleach. The fibers are made using a solution-dyed technology that permanently infuses premium pigments and UV stabilizers into the most chemically resistant upholstery fabric available.  Even after extended exposure to direct sunlight, Sunbrella fabrics resist fading and retain their strength.

Available in-store only.
