Queen Size Bed Frame Dimensions

Before you begin shopping for a new bed, come armed with numbers. How big should your bed be?

Typically, a queen bed frame will be approximately 80 inches long and 60 inches wide. This offers more than ample space for one person to sleep, and often enough room for two adults. To make sure that your bed is sized perfectly for you and your bedroom, consider these other bed options.

Other Bed Size Dimensions

A standard twin bed is 38 inches wide and 75 inches long, offering solo sleepers 38 inches of sleeping space all to themselves.

A standard full bed is 54 inches wide and 75 inches long, which offers 27 inches of sleep space if shared between two people. The length may be less-than-ideal for tall people.

A standard king bed is 60 inches wide and 80 inches long. The length is the same as a queen size bed, but the width allows 38 inches of space per sleeper if shared between two people.
