Quality Outdoor Furniture

At Bassett, we only put our name on furniture that lives up to our reputation for exceptional quality, style and value. We source and select the finest materials in outdoor furniture to withstand the elements. And each piece is engineered to look and feel great for years.

PLANTATION RAISED TEAK

100% of our teak furniture is made from A-grade, plantation raised teak from Indonesia. Teak is the best wood for luxury outdoor furniture due to its high oil content, which makes it stand up to extreme environmental conditions as well as making it insect and rot repellant. All of our teak is responsibly sourced from reforested teak plantations which means no natural teak forests are being damaged.

PERFORMANCE RESIN WICKER

Our Bassett Performance resin wicker is made from recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin. We use industry-leading UV inhibitors and weather-resistant additives to make sure it holds up to the elements and does not fade, crack or break due to ultraviolet sun exposure.

REINFORCED ALUMINUM FRAMES

Our aluminum alloy is the optimal choice for durability in outdoor furniture. The inner walls are thicker than the industry standard which provides excellent strength making them resistant to bending and breaking. The extrusions are double reinforced with support rib structures to add strength in load-bearing areas. Our aluminum frames are fully welded and reinforced at stress points. This means that each load-bearing joint is welded 360 degrees which provide more material and, therefore, maximum durability.

How to Care For Your Furniture

Teak Care Instructions

Retaining The Original Color Of Your Teak Outdoor Furniture
If you want to preserve the honey/brown color of your teak outdoor furniture longer, a sealer is recommended. Sealers generally must be applied every 6 to 12 months. If you choose to use a sealer, we recommend you visit a marine store and purchase specialty teak sealers (normally used on boats).

How to Clean Your Teak Furniture

  • Rinse the item thoroughly with a hose on a medium setting. Do not use a strong pressure setting, this will damage the wood.
  • Mix a small amount of the cleaning solution, such as Marine SimpleGreen, with water in a bucket.
  • Put the brush in the mixture and then gently begin scrubbing your furniture.
  • Start off with a small area to make sure the solution does not damage the teak.
  • When cleaning, scrub with the grain, not against it.
  • Make sure to gently scrub in between cracks and in corners.
  • Brush diligently but not too harsh to make sure to not damage the wood.
  • After cleaning, rinse the solution off and then let it rest and wait for it to dry.
  • Use drying cloth or let dry naturally with sunlight.
  • To preserve the natural teak color longer, apply Teak Protector immediately after drying.
Wicker Care Instructions

How to Clean Your Wicker Furniture

  • Clean periodically using mild soap and water. To extend the life of your furniture, avoid direct contact with chlorine and saltwater. If near saltwater, we recommend weekly rinsing with water from a hose. You should also keep it away from open flames and artificial heat.
  • A high-quality outdoor furniture cover is recommended if you plan to leave your wicker furniture outdoors all year. https://www.the-coverstore.com/
  • Before placing covers on your furniture, clean any debris with mild soap and water then dry completely with a soft cloth. Trapped debris or moisture can cause surfaces to mold. If you choose to move your furniture indoors, make sure it’s clean and dry and stored in a moisture-free environment.
Metal Care Instructions

How to Clean Your Metal Furniture

  • Aluminum furniture should be cleaned periodically using mild soap and lukewarm water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • For maximum protection against harmful ultraviolet exposure, we recommend a yearly application of a clear automobile wax.
Fabric Care Instructions
Prepare a solution of one-fourth cup mild soap per gallon of lukewarm water. Use a soft bristle brush to clean, allowing the cleaning solution to soak into the fabric. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue and allow the fabric to air dry.

Mold and Mildew Stains
Mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric.

To Remove Mold or Mildew:
  • Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and one-fourth cup mild soap per gallon of water.
  • Spray on the entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes.
  • Clean the entire surface area with a sponge, clean towel or very soft bristle brush.
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  • Air dry.
  • For severe mold/mildew growth, bleach quantities may be increased.
  • It is best to clean the entire surface area of the fabric to avoid water rings and stains.

Acrylic Dyed Fabric

ACRYLIC FABRICS

We use 100% solution-dyed acrylic fabrics. Acrylic is the premier choice in outdoor fabrics for longevity and color retention. Our fabric fibers are dyed all the way to the core which means the fabrics retain their vibrant color and resists the sun’s harsh UV rays. Solution-dyed acrylic also has excellent resistance to stains and mold. Rest assured, that when life gets messy, all of our fabrics are 100% bleach cleanable. All of our cushion covers are sewn with UV resistant color-matched threads to ensure seam quality and longevity. And most of our fabrics are exclusive Bassett designs.

USA Tailored Cushions

USA TAILORED CUSHIONS

All of our cushions are made in the USA from ultra-high-density polyurethane foam.  These materials are sourced from American and global merchants and these premium cushions are designed with a Serene Gel Foam® topper for luxurious comfort. The topper includes air-flow technology that promotes cooling and breathability. All of our cushions receive antimicrobial treatment to resist mold and mildew. Each cushion core is topped with a layer of fiber that provides a soft pillow top feel. Further protecting the core, we apply a water-resistant ticking with sonically welded seams which keeps out water, dirt and UV rays. The back pillow cores are made with blown polyester fiber which is placed in a channeled ticking cover. The channeled ticking resists pancaking or settling of the back cushions.

Soft Deck Seating

SOFT DECK SEATING

Our deep seating items feature resilient yet flexible seating support units that provide superior comfort when compared to solid or hard deck seating. They are treated with UV inhibitors to keep them pliable and strong for the life of the furniture. For added convenience, they are removable and replaceable.
